The University of Ottawa has reached a tentative deal for a new collective agreement with the Association of Part-Time Professors of the University of Ottawa (APTPUO).

The agreement was reached early morning on Monday, October 30 and must be ratified by the University’s Board of Governors and APTPUO members.

“Part-time professors play an important role in our academic programs. I am pleased to see that we’ve been able to conclude a fair and reasonable agreement,” said Jacques Frémont, president and vice-chancellor of the University of Ottawa. “I would like to thank members of both bargaining committees for their efforts.”

The details of the tentative agreement will not be made public until approved by both the University’s Board of Governors and APTPUO members.
