MEDIA ADVISORY: Remembrance Day ceremony at uOttawa

The University of Ottawa will host a Remembrance Day ceremony on Friday, November 11, 2016, to honour the memory of those who have given their lives for Canada and to reaffirm its unwavering support for the dedicated people who have made serving Canada their mission.

WHAT:      Remembrance Day ceremony

WHEN:      Friday, November 11, at 9:30 a.m.

WHERE:   Area in front of Tabaret Hall, or in case of inclement weather, inside the Tabaret Hall Rotunda (550 Cumberland Street, Ottawa | map)

Special guest:

David Levangie: Mr. Levangie is a lawyer who, prior to being called to the Ontario bar, served as a communications specialist in the Canadian Armed Forces, where he earned several awards, including being named Soldier of the Year in his regiment. He also co-founded a not-for-profit organization that establishes distribution networks to supply vital medicines in developing countries. Mr. Levangie is the winner of the 2016 Outstanding Alumni Award from the Faculty of Social Sciences.
