The faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ottawa is pleased to welcome Lieutenant-General (retired) the Honorable Roméo Dallaire on campus as a keynote speaker as part of the Shawn and Khush Singh Distinguished Lecture Series. General Dallaire will discuss his journey living with PTSD after serving as Force Commander of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Rwanda during the 1994 genocide.

Following General Dallaire’s presentation, a panel of experts from the Faculty of Social Sciences will speak on the biological, psychological and environmental factors that play a causal role in the development of this disorder.
