MEDIA ADVISORY: Achieving Food Security in an Era of Conflict and Climate Change

The University of Ottawa Centre for International Policy Studies and the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs invite members of the media to attend an event featuring George Stroumboulopoulos in conversation with Ertharin Cousin, executive director of the World Food Programme (WFP).

Ertharin Cousin is executive director of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). She brings more than 25 years of national and international non-profit, government and corporate leadership experience focusing on hunger, food and resilience strategies.

CBC Radio and Hockey Night in Canada host George Stroumboulopoulos is a WFP ambassador, advocating for food security around the world. He will discuss the links between climate change, conflict and food insecurity with Cousin. How do they affect millions of lives around the world? What is the WFP doing to build resilience and what should governments — including our own — be doing?
