The University of Ottawa is proud to announce that CTV news anchor Lisa LaFlamme and La Presse columnist Patrick Lagacé will host this year's Destination 2013 event a not-to-be-missed celebration of alumni achievement.
On May 11, 2013, the Canada Aviation and Space Museum will be transformed into an ultra-cool urban lounge for an evening that will feature standout musical performances by Quebec band Les Trois Accords and Newfoundland singer Alan Doyle.
Destination 2013 promises to be energetic a glorious, memorable night, says Craig Haynes, President of the University of Ottawa Alumni Association. Building upon last year's success, this annual event is the perfect setting to reconnect with friends and meet new ones, talk with senior University officials, sample some excellent food, listen to fantastic musical performances by premier Canadian acts, and honour the successes of our 180,000 alumni, and especially, this year's award recipients.
This year's extravaganza will celebrate the accomplishments of outstanding uOttawa alumni. The six winners of the 2013 Alumni Association Awards of Excellence will be honoured.
Destination 2013 is the social highlight of uOttawa Alumni Week. Alumni and friends are invited to attend a variety of activities, including homework-free mini-lectures, class reunions, campus tours and science shows for the whole family.
There is a new energy at uOttawa and I invite all alumni and friends to see for themselves how the campus is changing. Come be part of it! declares Haynes.
