Faculty members, staff and students will come together with families and friends of donors in a memorial service on June 3, 2014, to honour individuals who have donated their bodies to the Faculty of Medicine.
The service is held annually to recognize the immeasurable contributions made by body donors to the advancement of medical education. Among the keynote speakers this year is John Houston. His father, John Hartley Houston, was a donor whose selfless act was considered pioneering at the time as he hailed from a rural town where body donations were uncommon.
