MEDIA ADVISORY – New unique partnership between the University of Ottawa and Library and Archives Canada

The University of Ottawa invites members of the media tothe announcement of a strategic partnership with Library and Archives Canada (LAC).

Librarian and Archivist of Canada Guy Berthiaume, University Librarian Leslie Weir and University of Ottawa President Allan Rock will outline how the two institutions will collaborate in several key areas over the next five years.

As an example of the type of collaborations, LAC will work with the University to ensure the preservation of one of its oldest and rarest books—Platonis Opera, a collection of Plato's works, published in 1517.
